Mary Baily Playing Field

The Mary Baily Playing Field was left to the National Playing Fields Association in 1928 by Miss Mary Baily as a play space for the children of Frome in perpetuity. Frome Town Council is the sole managerial trustee for the playing field and is solely responsible for its upkeep.

The field can be accessed via the main gate in Park Road, from Somerset Road or from The Butts via Tickleberry Alley.

The playing field has a large, informal grassed area which is cut regularly and suitable for ball games.  In 2006 the playground area benefited from a £125,000 makeover when new play equipment was installed, all the new equipment and surfaces meet the current safety standards.
