Allotments

Frome Town Council owns a number of allotment sites around Frome. The largest is the Welshmill site, with other sites at Cranmore View, Queens Road, North Hill, Mendip View, Orchard Street, Singers Knoll and Vallis Road.

All the allotments are leased and managed on a day-to-day basis by the Frome Allotment Association. The Association manages the waiting list for allotments, collects rents from its members from which it then pays out small expenses such as fencing repairs etc. and also pays the Town Council an annual rent. Larger maintenance is funded by the Town Council.
