Community Grants

Frome Town Council's community grants scheme has been revised for the financial year starting 1st April 2012.

There are two main areas of focus the Town Council wishes to apply to this year's grant funding linking into our strategy.  These are towards making Frome:

• A sustainable community and economy
• A vibrant and participatory community

All applications will need to fit to criteria linking into these points and obviously to be for the benefit of people and projects local to Frome.

Applications for grants can be made at any point during the next financial year.  Small grant applications will be considered as and when received, the large grants will be considered by Council at four points during the year, as noted on the terms and conditions.

Applications for a participatory grant of up to a maximum of £10,000

New this year is the chance to apply for one participatory grant of up to £10,000. 

The difference here is that applications will be voted on and decided by the residents of Frome.  Details of those applications which meet the criteria will be included in the June edition of Frome Town Council's newsletter with a returnable voting slip attached (one per dwelling) and the project receiving the most votes will be awarded the grant.

Deadlines

Applications between £300 and £5,000 will be considered at 3-monthly intervals.  Deadlines are: 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October.

The participatory grant will be considered annually.  Deadline is 1st May 2012.
