Declarations of Interests

Council Members are required, under The Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Order 2007, to declare certain interests when they be come a Councillor. These interests include the name of their employer and their occupation, details of any land or house they occupy within the town, and any membership of or any financial interest in companies, bodies, groups, charities and organisations in the town.

In addition to the above, Councillors must also declare at meetings of the Town Council if they have an interest in any of the matters being discussed.
