Town Team wins funding for marketing Frome
The Frome Town Team has received news that the Government have awarded £10,000 to Frome Town Team to help market the town.
The funding will be used to support the town’s efforts to market Frome as a visitor destination. Frome Town Team will also become a national Town Team Partner and will be able to access a package of support from the Association of Town Centre Management. The support package aims to promote shared learning and best practice with the help of retail experts and other town teams from across the country.
The marketing project will be a key item on the agenda of the Town Team on Tuesday 11 December. The Team will also review progress on other important initiatives to support the town’s economy including the development of a Frome App, the production of new Town Maps and the development of the ‘Frome Super Market’.
Neil Howlett, Chairman of the Frome Town Team and President of the Frome Chamber of Commerce said, ‘I am delighted that our bid to Government has been successful. This will be a great boost to a project which has been in the planning stage for some time and I am certain will be enthusiastically supported by the business community in Frome.’
